Extract tables and structured values from a PDF into an editable Excel workbook.

PDFHope sends the PDF through secure conversion to identify table rows, columns, labels and numeric values. Separate detected tables may become separate worksheets. The goal is reusable data, not a pixel-perfect page image.

Scanned PDFs may use provider-native OCR automatically. Recognition accuracy depends on scan clarity and table structure; merged cells, charts and irregular layouts can require cleanup. A PDF normally does not contain the original spreadsheet formulas.

Output and quality

Clear ruled tables and selectable text usually work best. Numeric separators, wrapped text and merged cells should be checked after conversion.

Limitations

Original formulas are not recoverable from a typical PDF. Handwriting, scans, charts, complex or borderless tables and merged cells may not extract cleanly.

Why are some cells misplaced?

Fixed PDF text positions must be inferred as rows and columns; irregular spacing and merged cells can confuse the reconstruction.

Why is the workbook sparse?

A PDF with no clear tables may contain little reusable spreadsheet data.
